NCERT Books for Class 8

Class 8 completes middle school, and from 2026-27 it runs entirely on NCERT's new NEP textbooks: Ganita Prakash for Mathematics, Curiosity for Science, Poorvi for English, Exploring Society: India and Beyond for Social Science, Malhar for Hindi, and Deepakam for Sanskrit.

This is the year concepts start pointing clearly toward secondary school — Ganita Prakash builds the algebra and geometry footing that Class 9 assumes, and Curiosity's chapters on matter, force, and life processes are the direct base for Class 9 and 10 Science. If a topic feels shaky in Class 9 later, this is usually the shelf to come back to.
