NCERT Books for Class 6

Class 6 is the first year of middle school and the first year of NCERT's new NEP-aligned textbooks. Every subject now has a freshly written book: Ganita Prakash for Mathematics, Curiosity for Science, Poorvi for English, Exploring Society: India and Beyond for Social Science, Malhar for Hindi, and Deepakam for Sanskrit.

These new books look and feel very different from the older editions — shorter chapters, more activities, and concepts built through stories and real-life examples rather than definitions. Ganita Prakash, for instance, opens with patterns in mathematics instead of number systems, and Curiosity teaches science through questions children actually ask.
