NCERT Books for Class 9

Class 9 is the first year of secondary school and the foundation year for the Class 10 boards — the syllabus you master here is assumed knowledge in the board year. The 2026-27 NCERT set brings new titles: Ganita Manjari for Mathematics, Exploration for Science, Kaveri for English, Ganga for Hindi, and Khel Praveen for Physical Education.

Ganita Manjari's eight chapters carry the ideas — polynomials, coordinate geometry, triangles — that Class 10 Mathematics builds directly on, and Exploration's thirteen chapters set up the physics, chemistry and biology split that becomes explicit in Class 10 Science.
